Sima Shangzhi 司馬尚之 (d. 402), courtesy name Bodao 伯道, was a prince of the late Eastern Jin period 東晉 (317-420).

He was the oldest son of Sima Kuo 司馬恬, the Prince of Qiao 譙. He was first appointed assistant in the Palace Library (mishulangy 秘書郎), then General Establishing Authority (jianwei jiangjun 建威將軍), and finally regional inspector (cishi 刺史) of the province of Yuzhou 豫州. His military powers were immense, and he competed with his brothers Sima Yunzhi 司馬允之 and Sima Hui 司馬恢. The three brothers supported the influential princes Sima Daozi 司馬道子 (364-403) and his son Sima Yuanxian 司馬元顯 (382-402).

In 402, Sima Yuanxian launched a campaign against the usurper Huan Xuan 桓玄 (369-404) and appointed Sima Shangzhi as commander of the rear division. Sima Shangzhi was defeated and died in battle. His posthumous title is Prince Zhong of Qiao 譙忠王.
