Jia Kui 賈逵, courtesy name Liangdao 梁道, was a high official of the early Wei period 曹魏 (220-265).
He hailed from Xiangling 襄陵 in the commandery of Hedong 河東 (present-day Linfen 臨汾, Shandong) and was educated in military strategy (bingfa 兵法). In his early years he was a petty official in the commandery, but was then recommended for promotion as a "cultivated talent" (maocai 茂才), and appointed magistrate (ling 令) of Mianchi 澠池.
When the warlord Cao Cao 曹操 attacked the western warlord Ma Chao 馬超, Jia Kui was made governor (taishou 太守) of the commandery of Hongnong 弘農, and later recorder of the Counsellor-in-chief (chengxiang zhubu 丞相主簿).
When Cao Cao's son Cao Pi 曹丕 adopted the title of emperor (Emperor Wen of Wei 魏文帝, r. 220-226), Jia Kui was appointed magistrate of the ancient residence of the Caos, in Ye 鄴, a post which was transformed into that of governor of the commandery of Weijun 魏郡. When Emperor Wen undertook a military campaign, Jia Kui was made director of the recorders of the Counsellor-in-chief (chengxiang zhubu jijiu 丞相主簿祭酒).
He was then promoted to regional inspector (cishi 刺史) of the province of Yuzhou 豫州, and bestowed the title of Marquis within the Passes (guanneihou 關內侯). Jia Kui successfully put down the rebellion of Lü Fan 呂範, and was rewarded with a title of Neighbourhood Marquis of Yangli 陽里亭侯, and given the honorific title of general establishing authority (jianwei jiangjun 建威將軍). His posthumous title was Marquis Su 陽里亭肅侯.
