Liang Mao 涼茂, courtesy name Bofang 伯方, was a high official during the very late Eastern Han period 東漢 (25-220 CE).
He came from Changyi 昌邑 in the commandery of Shanyang 山陽 (modern Jinxiang 金鄉, Shandong). Under Cao Cao 曹操 he was section administrator in the Ministry of Works (sikong yuan 司空掾), then attendant censor (shiyushi 侍御史), then governor (taishou 太守) of Taishan 泰山, a commandery difficult to administer. Liang served with great success, and was transferred to Lelang 樂浪, then to Weijun 魏郡, and finally served as administrator (xiang 相) of the princedom of Ganling 甘陵. Highly impressed by Liang Mao, Cao Cao made him leader of the court gentlemen for miscellaneous use (wuguan zhonglang jiang 五官中郎將), electable as aide (zhangshi 長史), so that he was transferred to the post of army supervisor to the left (zuo jiangshi 左軍師).
When Cao Cao made himself king of Wei 魏, Liang was promoted to the post of vice director of the Imperial Secretariat (shangshu puye 尚書仆射), then Chamberlain for the Imperial Insignia (zhongwei 中尉) and Chamberlain for Ceremonials (fengchang 奉常). Liang finally served as Grand Mentor of the Heir Apparent (taizi taifu 太子太傅).
