Nanshi shi xiaolu 南史識小錄 and Beishi shi xiaolu 北史識小錄

Nanshi shi xiaolu 南史識小錄 "Small record of knowledge about the Southern Dynasties period" and Beishi shi xiaolu 北史識小錄 "Small record of knowledge about the Northern Dynasties period" are historical excerpts about the Southern Dynasties 南朝 (420~589) and Northern Dynasties 北朝 (386~581) periods written by the early Qing-period 清 (1644-1911) scholars Shen Mingsun 沈名蓀 (fl. 1702), courtesy name Jianfang 澗芳 or 鐧房, and Zhu Kuntian 朱昆田 (1652-1699), courtesy name Wen'ang 文盎, style Xijun 西畯 (a son of the thinker Zhu Yizun 朱彝尊).

The two authors followed the idea of the Liang-Han bowen 兩漢博聞 and made excerpts of the best paragraphs in the two official dynastic histories Nanshi 南史 and Beishi 北史 with a new arrangement.

There is a manuscript version once held by Liu Wenqi's 劉文淇 (1789-1854) Qingxijiuwu Studio 青溪舊屋. The Nanshi shi xiaolu and the Beishi shi xiaolu are included in the series Siku quanshu 四庫全書.
