Pingding jiaofei jilüe 平定教匪紀略

(Qinding) Pingding jiaofei jilüe (欽定)平定教匪紀略 "(Imperially endorsed) Military history of the pacification of the sectarian bandits" is a history on the suppression by the Qing dynasty 清 (1644-1911) of the rebellion of Lin Qing 林清 compiled on official order under the supervision of Tojin 托津 (1755－1835).

In 1813, a sectarian uprising of the millenarian Tianli Sect 天理教 "School of Heavenly Order" broke out in the border region of the three provinces of Zhili, Henan and Shangdong led by Lin Qing and Li Wencheng 李文成. Tojin himself was responsible for the suppression of the rebellion. In 1816 the Jiaqing Emperor 嘉慶帝 (r. 1796-1820) ordered Tojin with the compilation of the military annals (fanglüe 方略) of the suppression. Tojin selected archival material, palace memorials and imperial edicts. The 46-juan long annals describe in detail the origins of the Tianli Sect, how Lin Qing gathered followers and how their rebellion against the local government was put down within three months.
