Zheng Hun 鄭渾, courtesy name Wengong 文公, was an official of the early Wei period 曹魏 (220-265).
He hailed from Kaifeng 開封 in the commandery of Henan (today in Henan province) and was a great-grandson of the Confucian scholar Zheng Zhong 鄭眾. During the Yellow Turban rebellion 黃巾起義 he sought refuge in the retinue of Hua Xin 華歆, governor (taishou 太守) of the commandery of Yuzhang 豫章.
The warlord Cao Cao 曹操 appointed him a clerk (yuan 掾), and later promoted him to the posts of magistrate (ling 令) of Caichang 蔡長 and then of Shaoling 邵陵. Zheng Hun's career made progress by the office of governor of Shangdang 上黨, then metropolitan magistrate (Jingzhao yin 京兆尹).
In all these posts Zheng Hun laid great emphasis in the promotion of agriculture and the construction of canals and dykes. He was able to increase the size of the population under his jurisdiction and brought law and order to society. In honour of his merits a canal was called "Zheng reservoir" (Zhengbei 鄭陂). The highest office he held was Chamberlain for the Palace Buildings (jiangzuo dajiang 將作大匠).
