Peng Zhongshuan 彭仲爽 was senior minister (lingyin 令尹) in the state of Chu 楚 during the Spring and Autumn period 春秋 (770-5th cent. BCE).

He was originally a war prisoner captured when King Wen of Chu 楚文王 (r. 690-677) conquered the statelet of Shen 申, and was appointed chief minister when he suggested to the king transforming the territories of Shen and Mie 滅 into the districts (xian 縣) Shen and Xi 息, directly administered by the central government, instead of handing them over to nobles for administration. These two districts were fortified and served as important bases for the military campaigns against the north.
