Shixue congshu 史學叢書

Shixue congshu 史學叢書 "Collectanea of historiography" is a series of collectanea (congshu 叢書) compiled by the Guangya Publishing House 廣雅書局 in Guangdong, with Liao Yiqun 廖譯群 as the main compiler, in the late 19th century. It includes 93 books with a total length of 1,771 juan.

The Guangya Publishing House had been set up by governor-general (zongdu 總督) Zhang Zhidong 張之洞 (1837-1909) and soon specialized on the publishing of historiographical texts, but also published collections of other literary genres. The series Shixue congshu is an extract of the Guangya shuju congshu 廣雅書局叢書 that had been produced by the Shanghai Shufang Press 上海書坊 as a lithographic print. All titles included in the Shixue congshu were annotated and commented during the Qing period. These were mainly supplements to the official dynastic histories, consisting of treatises (zhi 志), additional commentaries (zhu 注), or text-critical notes (jiaokanji 校勘記).

A similar extract was produced in 1899 by the Wenlan Press 文瀾書局 in Shanghai and published under the same title. It includes 43 books. In 1902, the Huanwen Press 煥文書局 produced a lithographic reprint of this series. A third time it was reproduced by the Dianshizhai House 點石齋 of the Shenbao press 申報館.
