Lidai Yugong wenxian jicheng 歷代禹貢文獻集成

Lidai Yugong wenxian jicheng 歷代禹貢文獻集成 is a series of collectanea (congshu 叢書) assembling the most important commentaries on the text Yugong 禹貢, a geographical chapter of the Confucian Classic Shangshu 尚書 "Book of Documents". The series was compiled by the Wenqingge Compilation Group 文清閣編委會 and published in 2006 by the Xi'an Ditu Chubanshe 西安地圖出版社.

It includes 55 titles from the Song to the Qing period. The most important of them are Mao Huang's 毛晃 (jinshi degree 1151) Yugong zhinan 禹貢指南, Cheng Dachang's 程大昌 (1123-1195) Yugong lun 禹貢論 and Yugong shanchuan dili tu 禹貢山川地理圖 and Hu Wei's 胡渭 (1633-1714) Yugong zhuizhi 禹貢錐指.

Commentaries on the Yugong text are important because geographical features and the names of rivers, mountains and places changed over time, for instance, the course of the Yellow River.

The compilers made use of editions of outstanding print quality and with correct wording. Each text is introduced by a preface explaining its history as well as the specifications of the edition. The collection covers nearly all traditional commentaries on the Yugong chapter.
