Ju Xin 劇辛 (d. 242) was a general of the state of Yan 燕 during the late Warring States period 戰國 (5th cent.-221 BCE). Ju originally hailed from Zhao 趙, but was hired by King Zhao of Yan when this state rebuilt its strength after the disastrous defeat against the alliance of Han 韓, Wei 魏, Chu 楚, and Qi 齊 in 272. In 242, Ju Xin was given command over the army of Yan for a campaign against Zhao, but Yan was defeated by general Pang Nuan 龐煖, and Ju Xin, who had prematurely ordered attack, died during the battle (or committed suicide), and lost 200,000 troops.
