Xiao Dong 蕭棟 (d. 552), courtesy name Yuanji 元吉, was a short-time emperor (r. 551) of the Liang dynasty 梁 (502-557), one of the Southern Dynasties 南朝 (420-589). He was the oldest great-grandson of Emperor Wu 梁武帝 (r. 502-549) and a son of Xiao Huanzi 蕭歡子, the Prince of An 安. When the latter died, Xiao Dong was invested as Commandery Prince of Yuzhang 豫章郡王.
In 551, the rebel Hou Jing 侯景 (503-552), having occupied the capital Jiankang 建康 (today's Nanjing, Jiangsu), deposed Emperor Jianwen 梁簡文帝 (r. 549-550) and enthroned Xiao Dong, having the reign motto changed to Tianzheng 天正. Not long thereafter, Hou Jing dethroned Xiao Dong, down-ranking him to Prince of Huaiyin 淮陰, and usurped the throne. Xiao Dong was kept a hostage in the imperial palace.
When Hou Jing was defeated, Xiao Dong was liberated, but a year later, he was, on the order of Emperor Yuan 梁元帝 (r. 552-554), drowned to death by general Wang Sengbian 王僧辯 (d. 555).
