Luzi xuepu 陸子學譜

Luzi xuepu 陸子學譜 "Master Lu's notes on learning" was written during the mid-Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Li Fu 李紱 (1673-1750), courtesy name Julai 巨來, style Mutang 穆堂, from Linchuan 臨川, Jiangxi.

The book of 20 juan length focuses on Lu Jiuyuan's 陸九淵 (1139-1193) statements on ways to study in order to obtain knowledge of the Heavenly principle, a core concept of Neo-Confucianism. The texts is divided into six parts, of which the first one shows the widest spectrum of topics: "Discussion of the meaning [of the Classics]" (Bianzhi 辨志), "Seeking for the lost mind" (Qiu fangxin 求放心), "Lecturing on the clarification [of the Heavenly principle]" (Jiangming 講明), "Adherence to the teachings" (Jianlü 踐履), "Establishing reverence to the ancestors" (Ding zong yang 定宗仰), "Avoidance of heterodox teachings" (Bi yixue 辟異學), studying books (Dushu 讀書, and "On governance" (Wei zheng 為政). The other chapters focus on the concept of learning among friends (2 Youjiao 友教), learning at home (3 Jiaxue 家學), instruction of younger brothers and sons (4 Dizi 弟子), and of retainers (5 Menren 門人), and instruction by the teachings of ancient masters by transmission (6 Sishu 私淑).
