The Fuzi 苻子 "Master Fu" is a Daoist treatise compiled by the Jin period 晉 (265-420) writer Fu Lang 苻朗. His 20 (or 30) juan "scrolls" long book has still existed during the Tang period 唐 (618-907) but is since lost and only preserved in fragments collected by the Qing period 清 (1644-1911) scholar Ma Guohan 馬國翰 (Yuhan shanfang jiyi shu 玉函山房輯佚書) extracted from encyclopedias like Beitang shuchao 北堂書鈔, Yiwen leiju 藝文類聚, Chuxueji 初學記 or Taiping yulan 太平御覽. Of these fragments, the chapter Fangwai 方外 seems to be relatively complete.|
