Guancheng shuoji 管城碩記 "Learned records of Brush City" is a "brush-notes"-style book (biji 筆記) written during the Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Xu Wenjing 徐文靖 (1667-1756), courtesy name Weishan 位山 or Yuzun 禺尊, from Dangtu 當涂, Anhui. He was an examining editor (jiantao 檢討) in the Hanlin Academy 翰林院, and in his older years, worked as a private instructor in the Cuiluo Academy 翠螺書院 in his home village. Of his many writings, only the collection Xu Weishan Xiansheng liu zhong 徐位山先生六種 has survived, which includes the scholarly books Tianxia shanhe liang jie kao 天下山河兩戒考, Zhushu tongjian 竹書統箋, Yugong huijian 禹貢會箋, Zhouyi shiyi 周易拾遺, Zhiningtang gao 志寧堂稿, and the Guancheng shuoji of 30 juan length.

The book was first printed around 1744. It is a collection of reading notes by Xu Wenjing, covering works from the Classics, histories, "Masters and philosophers" and belles-lettres. It includes textual analysis and critical examinations of classical texts, poetry, and prose. Each entry is structured around citations from the original works, followed by commentary and argumentation.

The book also includes several important scholarly works, including Liu Dingzhi's 劉定之 (1409-1469) Shike celüe 十科策略, Cai Fangbing's 蔡方炳 (1626-1709) Guang zhiping lüe 廣治平略, Liao Wenying's 廖文英 dictionary Zhengzi tong 正字通 and Yin Shifu's 陰時夫 (13th cent.) Yunfu qunyu 韻府群玉. It highly values discussions on the original interpretations of the Classics Shijing 詩 "Book of Songs" and the ritual classic Liji 禮記 "Book of Rites" while also engaging with philosophical and historical commentaries. The writing is precise, and the content extensive.

The first print was produced in the 1720s or 1730s. The edition in the series Siku quanshu 四庫全書 is based on this print. A further edition was published in 1876.
