Nüze 女則

Nüze 女則, also called Nüze yaolu 女則要錄 "Important principles for girls", was is a book for female education written by Empress Zhangsun 長孫皇后 (601-636), wife of Emperor Taizong 唐太宗 (r. 626-649) of the Tang dynasty 唐 (618-907).

The aim of the book with a length of 10 juan was the instruction of court ladies. Unfortunately, it is lost. According to some comments, it presented many examples on female conduct from the past. The biographies of outstanding women were to demonstrate how a woman was expected to behave appropriately to correctly reflect her social status.
