Dongli zhongzheng 東籬中正 "[Chrysanthemum] classes of the Eastern Fence" is a book on gardening written during the late Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Xu Zhaoxiong 許兆熊, courtesy name Fuzhou 鳧舟, from Wuxian 吳縣, Jiangsu. He was famous for his garden Chishang 池上.
In his book, he describes in detail 40 different types of chrysanthemums. The book also includes comments on Shen Qinhan's 沈欽韓 (1775–1831) rhapsody on Xu's garden, Chishang ju fu 池上菊賦. The title is derived from the ancient system of ranking families and state offices (jiupin zhongzheng 九品中正) which was first adopted in a literary sense by Liu Yu 劉彧 (i.e., Emperor Ming 宋明帝 of the Liu-Song dynasty, r. 465-472) in his "quality classes in boardgames" (weiqi zhongzheng 圍棋中正). The title is also inspired by Tu Chengkui's 屠承{火魁} essay Duhuaju dongli ji 渡花居東籬集, where he gives advice on the cultivation of chrysanthemums. Tu's text is appended to the Dongli zhongzheng.
The preface of the book is dated 1817. It was printed a year later, and again in 1881.
