Foulu yincun 缶廬印存

Foulu yincun 缶廬印存 is a seal album compiled during the late Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Wu Changshuo 吳昌碩 (1844-1927), also called Junqing 俊卿, courtesy name Cangshi 蒼石 (倉石), style Puchao 樸巢, Foulu 缶廬, Kutie 苦鐵, Wuhu Yingai 五湖印匄, Suanhanwei 酸寒尉, Wuqing Tinguhang 蕪菁亭長, from Anji 安吉, Zhejiang. He was a famous poet and calligrapher and an expert on Han-period 漢 (206 BCE-220 CE) inscriptions on rocks, tiles, stone slabs, and seals. He published the catalogues Puchao yincun 樸巢印存, Kutie suijin 苦鐵碎金, Cangshizhai zhuanyin 蒼石齋篆印, Qiyunguan yinpu 齊雲館印譜, Zhuanyinxuan yincun 篆雲軒印存, Tiehan Shanguan yincun 鐵函山館印存 and Xuegulu yincun 削觚廬印存.

His seal catalogue Foulu yincun has a size of 16 volumes and presents the compiler's own seal carvings which attempt to imitate ancient inscriptions of the Han period. The first four volumes were published in 1889 by Wu Yin 吳隱 (1867-1922). A second batch of 4 volumes was published in 1900. The Xiling Seal Art Society (Xiling Yinshe 西泠印社) finalized the work in 1914, adding the last eight volumes of Wu Changshuo's creations.
