Guochao shuhua mingjia kaolüe 國朝書畫名家考略 is a critical book on calligraphy and painting written during the late Qing period 清 (1644-1911) by Yan Di 晏棣.

In 8 juan, the book talks about the works of 125 calligraphers and 182 contemporary painters (131 in the "main collection" (Zhengbian 正編), and 210 in "supplementary collections" (xubian 續編). The author personally inspected the greater part of all artworks and criticised their strengths and shortcomings. For all persons, he added brief biographies. For older pieces of art, Yan Di used secondary literature, which he minutely cited. Yan's book is very detailed, up to a certain level of complexity. Apart from this shortcoming, it focuses on artists from the Jiangnan region. This is, on the one hand, interesting when talking about the local art scene, but it cannot give an overview of the art landscape in the whole of Qing China.

The book was printed in 1837.
