Zhuyuan taoshuo 竹園陶說

The book Zhuyuan taoshuo 竹園陶說 is a book on the production of pottery and chinaware published by Liu Zifen 劉子芬 during the Republican period (1928). It is divided into eight chapters, namely 1) Shuxue 述學 "On the discipline", 2) Suyuan 索原 "Fathoming the origins", 3) Shuoqi 說器 "Explaining vessels", 4) Bianse 辨色 "Discerning colours", 5) Ruyao 汝窑 "The kilns of Ruzhou 汝州", 6) Guangyao 廣窑 "The kilns of Guangzhou 廣州", 7) Meiren zui 美人醉 "On the colour 'drunken beauty'", and 8) Zaji 雜記 "Miscellaneous notes". Even if the text of this book is quite brief, it is a valuable source on the porcelain industry.
