This section includes persons from the age of mythology, the semi-mythical Xia dynasty 夏 (17th-15th cent. BCE), and the Shang dynasty 商 (17th-11th cent. BCE). It includes deities, tribal heroes and historical persons, as well as some names and terms in Chinese mythology. For Daoist deities, see the corresponding page.
