Xieshi 諧史 "Funny history" is a biji 筆記 "brush notes" style book written by the late Southern Song period 北宋 (960-1126) scholar Shen Chu 沈俶 (fl. 1247), of whose life practically nothing is known. The book Xieshi is very short and includes only 8 paragraphs of stories centering around the city of Bianjing 汴京 (modern Kaifeng 開封, Henan), capital of the Northern Song dynasty 南宋 (1127-1279). All stories are told in a very humorous way. The Xieshi is to be found in the reprint series Zhengtang dushu ji 鄭堂讀書記, Gujin shuohai 古今說海, Shuofu 說郛, Xuehai leibian 學海類編, Gujin shuobu congshu 古今說部叢書 and Shuoku 說庫.
